Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ergoassessment.cam and any related services (together, “ErgoAssessment”), operated by CreateComfy LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
By visiting the site, using its tools, or signing up for our emails, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the site.
What ErgoAssessment currently is
These tools are live today. They are all free and run in your browser:
- The camera posture check, which estimates your sitting posture angles from a side view
- The ergonomic calculator, which turns your height into desk, chair, and monitor targets
- The self-assessment quiz, which scores your workstation, posture, and habits against published ergonomic guidance
- The sitting time calculator, which adds up how much you sit and where that lands on the risk scale
- The break timer and reminder, which reminds you to get up during work
The posture check uses your camera, or a photo you choose, and processes it on your device. Section 6 and our Privacy Policy explain how your data is handled.
Not a medical or professional service
ErgoAssessment’s tools, including the posture checker, the calculators, and the quiz, are not medical devices, diagnostic tools, or a substitute for a professional ergonomic, medical, or physical therapy evaluation.
The ergonomic desk setup calculator’s numbers come from population-average body proportion data (ANSUR II), not a measurement of you personally, so treat them as a starting point to fine-tune from rather than an exact fit. The quiz scores only what you report about your own setup, posture, and habits. Even with accurate answers, it’s a general self-check, not a guarantee, and it can’t catch everything an in-person assessment would.
The camera-based postural evaluation feedback is one input to consider, not a guarantee of accuracy. Don’t treat its output as something to follow blindly. Its results can be affected by things like camera angle, lighting, clothing, and setup, among others, and the tool may miss or mistake things an experienced professional would catch even under good conditions.
None of these tools account for your full medical history, existing injuries, or individual circumstances the way a qualified professional would.
If you have pain, an injury, or an ongoing medical condition, please consult a doctor, physical therapist, or qualified ergonomics professional. Don’t rely on ErgoAssessment as a substitute for that care.
Email reminders and updates
Signing up means giving us your email address so we can send you the ergonomic posture scan reminder you picked and, if you tick the box, occasional emails about new tools, posts, and related updates, consistent with our Privacy Policy. It does not create any payment obligation on your part.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
Acceptable use
Using the site, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information, including a real email address you have permission to use, when signing up for our emails
- Use the site lawfully and not in a way that could harm, disable, or overburden it
- Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or any data we hold
- Not scrape, reverse engineer, or extract the site’s underlying code, including the body posture analysis’s scoring logic, the calculators, and the quiz, except where the law specifically allows it
Posture check data and results
This section is specifically about the sitting posture camera assessment, so it’s clear upfront how it handles your data. The other tools don’t send your inputs to a server either, unless you send feedback.
- Camera video and photos you use are processed locally, in your browser, and never leave your device
- We don’t receive or store your video, photos, the body measurements taken from them, or your results. Only your last result is saved, in your own browser, so the next check can show what changed
- You own the results and feedback the tool gives you. We retain ownership of the tool and the code we built. The pose model it uses is Google’s MediaPipe, provided under its own license
- If any of this changes, we’ll update this page and our Privacy Policy before it happens, not after
Intellectual property
The ErgoAssessment name, logo, site design, and original content on this site are owned by CreateComfy LLC unless otherwise noted. Don’t copy or reuse them without permission, beyond normal personal use like sharing a link.
No warranties
The site and its tools, including the posture analysis, the calculators, the quiz, and the break timer, are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, expressed or implied.
We don’t guarantee the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any tool’s results, current or future, will be accurate, complete, or right for your specific situation. We also don’t guarantee that reminders, from the break timer or by email, will always arrive on time. ErgoAssessment is being built and improved over time, and its accuracy is expected to change as it evolves.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, CreateComfy LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from your use of the site or anything on it, including but not limited to the posture check, the calculators, the quiz, the break timer, and our advice, posts, pages, and emails. This includes any injury, discomfort, or loss resulting from acting on feedback, advice, or recommendations provided by ErgoAssessment.
Nothing here limits liability where the law doesn’t allow it, such as for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Changes to the service and these terms
We may change, pause, or discontinue any part of the site or its tools at any time. We may also update these Terms, particularly as we add new tools or features, updating the “Last updated” date above when we do. We’ll try to communicate meaningful changes by email to anyone subscribed to our emails where it affects them directly.
Continuing to use the site after changes take effect means you accept them.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where local consumer protection law requires otherwise.
